The following rules only apply to the game:
1. Taking part in the game
1.1. Taking part in the game is basically free of charge, there is no participation fee. Participation in the game does not involve the purchase of goods or services from the organizers or third parties.
1.2. The Wir helfen Kindern e.V. association asks for a donation of € 10 unrelated to the betting game. This donation goes entirely to the projects listed below. Wir helfen Kindern e.V. promotes, on an honorary basis without remuneration, the following projects, among others: Elternverein für krebskranke Kinder und deren Angehörige in Düsseldorf association for children with cancer and their relatives, and the Projekt Kindertrauerarbeit der HOSPIZ-Initiative in Salzgitter, a hospice group which cares for grieving children. The donations from the soccer betting game, as well as financial support from sponsors, are used for the work of the Wir helfen Kindern e.V. association and not to conduct the betting game and/or to provide prizes for the participants in the game.
1.3. Transfer the donation to Acct. No. 1512927000 at the VOLKSBANK BRAWO Bank Code 26991066 indicating "Wir helfen Kindern e.V. – EM 2012" as reference. Please put your name in the reference as well, so that we can see who donated the sum. Please note that you may have to pay a charge for bank transfers from abroad. For amounts of up to € 200.00, the remittance slip can be submitted to the Tax Office as a donation receipt.
1.4. To participate in the game, send an e-mail, fax or letter to the organizers. Only natural persons are allowed to take part, although this does not establish a right to participate in the betting game.
2. How to play the betting game
2.1. It is only possible to participate in the betting game up to June 5, 2012 (2:00 p.m.) at the latest.
2.2. The organizers give you a form for taking part in the game. This form, whose file name is "Spielscheinonline.xls", can be found at the website www.wirhelfenkindern.eu or requested from the organizers by e-mail. Please fill in the form legibly and indicate at least your first and last names, your place of residence, company and contact data.
2.3. Bets are made on all scores of the European Cup preliminary round, the participants in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, as well as the European champion. The following additional bets are required:
1. The first additional bet is to predict the number of all goals scored during the tournament. Penalty shots made after 120 minutes of play do not count, however from all games after the preliminary round, as well. The second additional bet is to predict the number of times players are sent off the field in the entire championships (red and second yellow cards). Please simply mark with a cross.
The third additional bet is to predict the country of the top scorer (not the name of the player).
The fourth additional bet is to predict the worst team in the preliminary round. (Points scored count, then the goal difference.)
3. Winner of the betting game
3.1. The winner of the betting game is the player with the highest overall score. If two or more players have the same highest score, the winner of the betting game is decided by the number of completely correct bets on preliminary round scores; this also applies to second place and the following places. If there is no clear winner here, then the player with the lowest starting number wins. The players with the next highest total scores follow in descending order.
3.2. Players receive 5 points for correctly predicting the result of the preliminary round, 2 points are awarded for getting the right tendency of the game (victory, loss, draw). The right game tendency and the right goal difference are worth 3 points (example: the final score is 3:1, 2:0 was bet), as is predicting a draw if the right result is missed (example: the final score is 1:1, but 2:2 was bet). For each correct quarter-finalist, the player gets 4 points, 6 points for each correct semi-finalist, and 8 points for each correct finalist, while the European champion counts another 10 points.
For each correct prediction of the additional bets from 1-4, 7 additional points are awarded; in case of a tie, multiple points are awarded (generally, the official statistics of the UEFA are decisive and binding).
3.3. The winner will be announced on July 2, 2012. The most successful participants receive prizes in kind and/or gift certificates. Additional details on the prizes can be viewed on the website www.wirhelfenkindern.eu at the latest on the day of the opening game. The daily updated status of the betting game can also be viewed there.
3.4. If you are among the winners, the organizers will notify you by e-mail, telephone or letter. When you take part in the betting game, you thereby declare your consent to have your name and place of residence appear on the website www.wirhelfenkindern.eu and in any newsletters with news of the betting game sent by e-mail to the participants in the betting game.
4. Use of personal data
4.1 When you take part in the betting game, the organizers collect, save and process your personal data. This is done exclusively for the purpose of running the betting game and to provide you with further information on the betting game, for instance, to inform you of new prizes or to announce the winners.
4.2 The organizers will in no case give your personal data to third parties. The only exceptions are cooperation partners and shipping companies, so they can bring you your prize if you should win. Your data are transmitted according to statutory regulations, the volume of data transmitted is limited to the minimum necessary to serve the purpose.
4.3. Of course, the organizers will give you without delay information on all data they have on you free of charge. Please contact the organizers directly for such information.
5. Additional rules
5.1. The judges' decision is final.
5.2. German law applies.
5.3. Should a provision of these eligibility requirements be ineffective, this shall not affect the remaining provisions.
